Apple-Metro, Inc. is the New York Metropolitan Area franchisee for Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar® and Chevys Fresh Mex Restaurants.  Our portfolio currently includes (26) Applebee’s^®, (2) Chevys restaurants in the five boroughs, Westchester and Rockland Counties as well as our own very exciting new concept, Zanaro’s^® Italian Restaurant located in the White Plains City Center at the Cornerstone of Downtown White Plains.

Seeing the dynamic opportunity and unfulfilled marketplace needs in the New York Metro area, Franchise Principals Zane Tankel and Roy Raeburn seized the opportunity to control franchise rights for Casual Dining segment front runner; Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar®.

Started approximately ten years ago by principals Zane Tankel and Roy Raeburn on very simple principles – a desire to create the ultimate casual dining experience through extraordinary service, exceptional food and drink in a fun filled friendly atmosphere.

Apple-Metro, Inc. continues to exceed sales expectations in an uncertain and sometimes difficult marketplace.

Apple-Metro, Inc. was formed in 1993 when owners Zane Tankel and Roy Raeburn joined forces.

Our first Applebee’s® opened in Staten Island in October of 1994.  Since then, we have opened an additional 25 Applebee’s® that include the three largest Applebee’s® in the world which are located at 50^th Street  (NYC), 42^nd Street (NYC) and Rego Park (Queens). 

In addition, Apple-Metro, Inc. also owns and operates two Chevys Fresh Mex restaurants and one Zanaro’s® Italian which are the foundation for our own concept in a sub segment of Casual Dining called Fine Casual which                                                         we are pioneering.

Apple-Metro has exclusive franchise rights to Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island as well as all of Westchester and Rockland Counties.

Our milestone 25th Applebee's location and fourth on Staten Island opened in May of 2006 in the Bricktown Centre at Outerbridge Crossing.

By the end of 2008 we will open three new lcoations; Port Chester, Triangle Junction in Brooklyn and Harlem on 126th & Fifth Avenue.
